Hello

We’ll be arriving at Geneva airport by train and then wish to hire a car on the Swiss side. Please can anyone tell me if it’s straightforward to find the car rental desks within the airport from the train station?

Welcome to the forum,

Just follow the signs to car rental at the airport. We find the signage at the Swiss airports is excellent.

It is not more complicated in Geneva. There is no difference whether you arrive by train or plane. The station is on the same site as the airport.

I have never rented a car at Geneva airport, but normally getting to the car rental at airports is fairly simple and Geneva is not the largest of airports, so I assume you will be fine.

You will arrive in Geneva Airport station (underground) – in the left background of my picture you can see the exit sign and the escalator

Once up the escalator from the platforms you walk along a long rectangular railway station building and exit where the number 10 trolleybus is standing in my other picture. In that picture the airport terminal is behind me, and it is about 100 metres walk to the door into the terminal
