Hi Gail,
Welcome to MySwissAlps! We have a separate thread about the promotion, please see http://www.myswissalps.com/forum/topic/swiss-travel-pass-25-off-for-trips-in-20212022. Indeed your time frame qualifies. You will need to buy via https://www.happyrail.com/en/pass/europe/switzerland/swiss-travel-pass-consecutive because they allow to buy 11 months in advance. Be sure to select 21 June 2022 as your “travel date”, this is the pass start date.

Thank you very much for your quick reply and for the very helpful links. I will use the “happy rail” link that you provided before July 31st and will be sure to enter my travel start date correctly.
Wishing you a wonderful weekend and thank you again.
Gail

When will the 6-day Swiss Travel Pass be available? I did not see it among the options for sale at Happy Rail.
Thank you!
ArnoModerator15484 posts16 October 2021 at 9:34:47 #935516Hi BibiL,
I expect it to be available within the next few weeks. Each shop will have to implement this on their own so I can’t say exactly. The 8 and 15-day passes are already available for the new lower prices at https://shop.switzerlandtravelcentre.com/#/en/home. They are working on the 6-day pass.
BibiLParticipant40 posts16 October 2021 at 9:42:35 #935517Thank you, I will watch out for it. The 6-day pass seems to be ideal for our purposes.
Kind regards.
APFELSParticipant28 posts15 November 2021 at 1:37:12 #935518Greetings to All!
First, a big thank you to all participants and to the moderators. My son and I had a wonderful trip in March 2019 to Zermatt, thanks in large part to the forum.
I’ve refamiliarized myself with the forum, and believe I am posting in the correct thread. I have a couple of questions as I cannot find definitive answers here or elsewhere.
First, my son and I are returning but passing through onto to Austria. I understand trains run several times a day from Zurich to Ötztal-Bahnhof. I cannot determine if a Saver Day Pass will provide fare until reaching Ötztal-Bahnhof. What are the logistics when traveling from Zurich to Ötztal-Bahnhof?
Second, I don’t find the Saver Day Pass listed as being on sale from now until 11 December 2021, as the other passes are. Our use of the train is limited to just our arrival and departure dates, the same as our trip in 2019. I believe the Saver Day Pass is my best option as our train travel is limited to just two days (Day 1 and Day 8) of our trip. I welcome other opinions in the event options have changed in the past few years.
Thank you.
AnnaModerator6384 posts15 November 2021 at 12:17:44 #935519Hi Apfels,
Glad to know you enjoyed your 2019 trip to Switzerland. Based on your plans, indeed the Saver Day Pass is the best option for you. Find details and options to purchase here: http://www.myswissalps.com/saverdaypass
The Saver Day Pass will cover your trip between Zurich and Buchs SG (at the Swiss-Austrian border). Beyond that you will need to get additional ticket to cover the rest of your journey. You can find information about tickets to Austria here: http://www.myswissalps.com/traintickets/austria
Unfortunately, the promotion mentioned on this thread is specific to the Swiss Travel Pass. But if you book the Saver Day Pass early, you might get a good price. Hope this helps!
If you have more questions regarding your trip, please start a new thread.
Regards,
Anna
