Hi Grace S!
That’s a very challenging plan, especially if you want to have time to actually discover the cheese and chocolate factories and the castle. I’d leave Lausanne as early as possible to arrive in Gruyères right at the cheese factory’s opening time. Here’s how it would work:
- train from Lausanne to Gruyères, visit the cheese factory which is right next to the station;
- train from Gruyères to Broc-Fabrique, visit the Chocolate Factory;
- train from Broc-Fabrique to Chateau-de-Chillon, which takes at least 2h23, visit the castle;
- train from Chateau-de-Chillon to Geneva.
You’ll find all details in the timetable: http://www.myswissalps.com/ti metable.
My personal advice would be to either skip one of the items, or try to cover them in 2 days instead. That will be much more relaxed.

Thank you very much Annika for the prompt reply. It seems we will have to cancel the castle on that day.
With kind regards
Grace

We could do all 3 places in one day as a day trip from Interlaken. Yes it was a long day. We first went to cheese factory and met fellow Indian passengers who told us to go to choclate factory. Then we visited chateau since it closes at 7 pm in spring. We kept an eye on train time table
