    Hi,

I was trying to book a ticket from Gevena-Wengen in Sept. I have a HFC. In SBB I see option of City Upgrade Geneve & Also another option of Saver Day Pass.

I tried searching in forum, but is still confused, as what is the difference between a normal ticket and a Saver Day Pass (as SDP is only 3CHF extra)

    Thanks!

You probably mean a Swiss Half Fare Card.

The Saver Day Pass only usually becomes beneficial if the sum of your point to point tickets for that day is much greater than the cost of the Saver Day Pass. In you case it depends if you want to save CHF3.

A Saver Day Pass a a day pass valid for travel around most of Switzerland. You can read more about it here: https://www.myswissalp s.com/onedaytravelpass /details. Also, the closer to the travel date you get the more expensive the SDP gets.

Great. When I checked the price for a Saver Day Pass & sum of all point to point tickets, Saver Day Pass is Cheaper.

1- Hope I don’t need to book if I have a Saver Day Pass and I can hop on an trains that particular day.

2-Also hope it is valid on Golden Pass Panormic Train as I’m traveling from Geneva-Wengen via Zweissimen, and also city of Geneva.

    Thanks for the advice !

If you click on my link above you can find an SBB link that shows you what routes are covered. You’re trip to Geneva is fully covered.

No reservations needed to get to Geneva from Wengen except you may want to on the Golden Pass route between Zweisimmen and Montreux if you want a panoramic train. https://www.myswissalp s.com/goldenpass/packa ges

Hi Lucas! I am unable to find the SBB link above, where I can get the areas covered for Saver Day Pass. In the below link it has routes covered for One Day Pass & not Saver Day pass.- http://www.myswissalps.com/on edaytravelpass/validit y

    Hi Harijosh,

Did you check the links under “More on other websites”? I think that’s what Lucas meant.

The map is the same for 1-day Pass or Saver Day Pass. Also see bit.ly/2rkekat.
