We will be in Cans-Montana area for several day and some of us don’t ski. Are there other snow activities to do for 55 to 65 year olds? Some might be open to cross country skiing/snow shoes but can’t find any information.

    Thanks

look for the phrase ‘Ski de Fond’ which is the French word for cross country skiing.

Crans Montana advertises 16km of ski de fond pistes. All ski resorts also have winter walking paths to cater for non skiers

    Hi Nwenning1,

On the “main” activities page of the link 1960man provided you will also find indoor activities:

I was wondering if anyone knows if I can rent ski gear (clothing and skis)?

    Hi Nwenning1,

Normally skiing resorts such as Crans Montana offer quite a wide range of sports shops renting skiing equipment. Shouldn’t be a problem.

    Best,
    Steph

Hiring main ski equipment (ie skis, boots, helmet and poles) will be zero problem, but some hire shops might expect that you would have at least your own gloves, hat (although hiring a helmet negates the latter) etc with you. You may have to buy the incidentals like gloves
