Hi

I’m a keen cyclists and have very good fitness and wanted to cycle up mountains close to Lucerne, Interlaken and Montreux.

Are there group rides that I can join? Which is the closest mountain to ride in reach of these cities?

What’s the best option to rent a road bike?

Thank you Arno and Slowpoke.

For example in Australia, lots of bike shops organise a local ride where it’s typically 30-70km loop depending on the day. I wanted to join one of these rides if possible.

Do you know if any local bike shops organise rides in Lucerne, Interlaken or Montreux?

I thought I saw such offers as you seek, when I was skimming through links.

Who knows….. you might even find one that a speaks ‘Strine. 😉

Also- check the tourist info offices. The one I use all the time in Luzern is by track # 1 in the main station. They ‘re very knowledgeable.
