The ride starts in Bern at 8.44 AM. The historical train will be pulled by a 74 year old electric locomotive. It will cover the old (scenic) route to reach Domodossola, Italy, at 11.22 AM. The train will depart from Domodossola at 3.50 PM and reach Bern again at 6.06 PM. Drinks and snacks will be available for free. A 3-course menu in the dining car can additionally be booked for the return journey.
Tickets cost CHF 65 per person if you have a
Swiss Pass, or CHF 100 if you don't have one.
See
here for further details. You can book the excursion
here. Both pages are only available in German.
