Our first time in Switzerland. I've been reading review many websites.

I'm looking for ANY advice.

Day One (Monday)
1. Paris to Geneva (to ride the GOLDEN PASS) to Interlaken.
2. From Interlaken to Murren, for the night.

Day Two (Tuesday)
1. Murren - Interlaken - Lucerne, for the night.

Day Three (Wednesday)
1. Lucerne to Lugano (William Tell Express)

You will love Switzerland! I, too, live in California and have been to Switzerland 15 times over the past 15 summers. Would like to provide some on-target input, to do so it would be most helpful if you can answer the following questions:

1. When are you going? Time of year (weather, closures) makes a big difference.
2. Are you only staying 3 days? If so, I would recommend one base only. You lose at least 1/2 a day every time you change bases.
3. What are you keen to do? You are spending lots of time on trains. That's fine if that's what you want to do. YOu can see nice scenery from the trains but it's even better if you stop long enough to take some walks and/or ride slower forms of transport (gondolas, cable cars, etc)
