First to Schynige Platte hiking trail in June

We plan to hike on this long trail during the second week of June 2015. Is the trail opened? It is early in the summer season, please let us know issues that we should be aware of. Are the gondola and the cogwheel train opened too?

Thanks for posting! It's a bit early for these kind of trails. Right now it's still closed. It may open up soon so you'll be among the first doing it this Summer. Also see this topic. The train and gondola are already operational, so you can definitely go up for a shorter hike and enjoy the view.
