Hello,

I saw this link in SBB website:

www.sbb.ch/en/station-services/services/lugg age-and-flight-luggage.html

We are arriving at Geneva airport (via Zurich) from Singapore on 23 December, via Swiss Air (LX179 - Singapore–Zurich; LX2800 – Zurich – Geneva). Likewise we are flying back from Geneva to Singapore via Swiss Air on 1 January 2017.

Can we utilise this FLIGHT LUGGAGE and/or DOOR-TO-DOOR FLIGHT LUGGAGE service since we are flying by Swiss Air from Singapore to Geneva (via Zurich) and vice-versa?
- If so, how do we utilise this service before we depart from Singapore? Our flight is at 2350 hours (Singapore time) on 23 December and we arrive at Geneva airport at 0750hours on 23 December. Are we able to receive the luggages in Chateau-d'Oex on 23 December or 24 December?

Similarly, we are taking the flight from Geneva airport to Singapore via Zurich on LX2819 (Geneva-Zurich) and LX178 (Zurich-Singapore) on 1 January at 2050 hours. Are we able to send in our luggage in Chateau-d'Oex train station to utilise this FLIGHT LUGGAGE service? Are we able to check-in the luggage at Chateau-d'Oex train station (the luggage goes all the way to Singapore), or we need to collect the luggage at Geneva airport to check in? By which date/time we need to bring the luggage to Chateau-d'Oex train station to ensure our luggage is in time for departing flight LX2819?

Appreciate your advice on this service as this is truly a wonderful service offered by SBB.

Thank you

Luggage send or bring to the little station of Chateau-d'Oex is not possible.

From Geneve to Chateau-d'Oex is only 2 hours by train, change 1 time at Montreux station.

(and Zurich to Chateau-d'Oex is only 3.10 hours by train and a very nice trip.........)

greetings from the Netherland, Brahms

Thanks for reply. Does this mean that such service is only applicable to big towns (not small station like Chateau-d'Oex)?

Indeed, larger towns only. The various services are explained on the page you mentioned. Click the particular service and you'll find a link to a list of serviced stations. The regular (slower) service may work for you: www.sbb.ch/en/station-services/services/lugg age-and-flight-luggage/luggage.html. It works for all staffed stations, including Château-d'Oex.

Thanks Arno. Yes, I know about this service (station-to-station) as we utilised this service last year from Andermatt to Zurich. :)
