The MGB railway terminates at one main station in Zermatt. The station square (Bahnhofplatz) is the hub of Zermatt, with electric buggies and taxis collecting people and baggage from the trains and taking them to their hotels. All Zermatt hotels have their own electric buggy which will collect you on request.
However, the Hotel Derby is slap bang on Bahnhofstrasse, Zermatt’s main street, so you should be able to easily walk from the station. It will be a far shorter walk than every airport terminal in the world!

Hi REEDUSA and welcome to MySwissAlps.com!
When are you traveling? If you are going to travel to Zermatt during the voming days, you have to change 2 or 3 times (Basel – Bern – Visp – Tasch – Zermatt or Basel – Visp – Tasch – Zermatt). You can find the details in the timetable. In case you are not familiar with the SBB timetable, please start here: http://www.myswissalps.com/timetable.
Once you’ve arrived to Zermatt, you most of the hotels have a small electric cars, you can ask the hotel. Hotel Derby is very close to the Train station, it is just around 200 m.

Here are some of my many Zermatt pictures taken across 20 years or so of regular visits, showing the main MGB station, how they get groceries to Zermatt markets, the station square with taxis and the Coop supermarket and a view of the Gornergratbahn
