Hello! I intend to go from Brig to luzern by car in june, which is the best route?
Hi Betomormaii,
By best do you mean fastest? Or most scenic? How much time do you have to make the trip and when in June are you driving? Some Alpine passes may not be open in early June.
Be sure to read this guide on driving in Switzerland a well: https://www.myswissalp s.com/car
A reasonable route (scenic as well) would be Brig – Gletsch – Grimsel Pass – Meiringen – Brunig Pass – Luzern. The Grimsel pass should be open by June. If not, then Brig – Visp – Lötschberg tunnel car train shuttle – Spiez – Interlaken – Luzern
The Grimsel Pass is due to open on 8.6.2018 +/- 1 week. You can check current status here:

Thanks Alpenrose666, 196oman and Lucas, Lucas I definetely would like the most scenic, thanks so much for the tips!!!
Go for the Grimsel Pass if open – I’ve always wanted to do it!
I first traversed the Grimsel Pass in about 1963, and most recently in 2016, and it is still fun. There is an even more fun road up from the Grimsel Pass to a glacier but that won’t be open in June.
If you go via Grimsel Pass – Innertkirchen, you might even have time to stop over at the Aareschlucht
When in June?
You did not answer Lucas’ question.
If you review the thread, you’ ll see why it is important.

Thanks again Lucas, If the pass is open that will be the way!
Slowpoke, I did answer and Lucas and got great tips, thanks!
