Gelmer funicular trip from Lucerne or Interlaken?

Hi, I want to do the Gelmer funicular trip. Is it better to do it from lucerne or interlaken ? and which station do i get onto the funicular ? how long is the funicular ride ?

Hi Barkha,

The Gelmer funicular leaves near a bus stop called 'Handegg, Gelmerbahn': this allows you to find the exact trip in the timetable. It's easier to reach from Interlaken (about 1h20) than from Lucerne (about 1h50 to 2h15). You'll first travel to Meiringen by train, and then change to the bus.
