Yes, go Landquart, Klosters Platz, Zernez then you will only double up between Bever and St Moritz. If the claustrophobia is severe then go Klosters Platz, Thusis then at least you will double up on the best bits.
Be prepared for plenty of tunnels in Switzerland though many are pretty short. Would advise against holding your breath for 20km! 😉

Hi Tonyw,
I would choose the connection with the least train changes. You’ll come across lots of tunnels in Switzerland. Good luck holding your breath 🙂

You are highly unlikely to suffer from claustrophobia in Swiss railway tunnels. Most people hardly notice them, just concentrate on the inside of the carriage, read something etc – the time will pass quickly.

The scenery is nice Landquart – Klosters (sit on the right hand side as the railway hugs the East side of the valley) and Sagliains – Samedan – St Moritz (sit on the left from Sagliains as the railway mainly hugs the north side of the valley).
The Vereina tunnel transit is not onerous – just over 15 minutes

Thanks that sounds best idea as we will see the St Moritz-Chur scenery a few days later on GEX.
