Golden Pass, regular train Montreux to Zweissimmen

    Very limited scattered seats on Golden Pass for days we want? Is regular train the same route and only difference the panoramic windows? Are window seats on regular train might better experience for my wife and me than scattered aisle seats with strangers next to window seats?

    Hi ExPat,

    Welcome to MySwissAlps.

    There are regular GoldenPass train services between Montreux and Zweisimmen. Seat reservations are usually not required. You can also travel on the regular trains (without panoramic windows). The route and views are the same.

    All the hourly express trains on the MOB railway Montreux – Zweisimmen are operated with carriages with large windows, the majority are ‘officially’ panoramic
