Hi

We arr travelling from.golden pass zweissmann to montreaux on 24 aug from 10.25 train. We are not getting reservation in that train. But the authorities say 2 coache s are kept without reservation and we can go in them. Do you think we can take that chance . Also we rr adultscarrying 5 big bags…can we take them with us in golden pass line panoramic train.

Hi Shikhs,

How many people are there? If there are more than about 4 I might try reservations, just to make sure you sit together. There can be a fair amount of people traveling without reservations, and if you have 5 big bags to deal with you will be the last to find seats possibly.

Hi Lucas We are 5 of us. But reservation for 24 aug 10.25 train is not available and we have to leave on time to reach montreaux atleast by afternoon so that we can see bit of montreaux and have a flight back to take from Geneva next morning. So as per you with 5 big bags we ought to get reservation. Any chances as per you for reservation to open for remaining two carriages in panoramic train or is it on that day only they will open these carriages on first come first serve basis.

They could open more reservations, probably just due to a cancelation.

If reservations are full I’d just try and arrive at the train station 20 minutes before boarding and try to be among the first to get on the train when it arrives.

You’ll be able to get on the train without issue (to make your flight) so don’t worry about that but you could have to stand for awhile if it is very busy).
