Hi Enigma,
Yes it is doable, we were in the gondola taking us to First exactly at noon, with our 6 and almost 5 years old sons.
But we didn’t stop at Bort, we left the playground for the end. We went straight to First, did the Cliff Walk and then went on to Bachalpsee. From Bachalpsee, instead of going back to First the same path, we chose a different route and that was the best part of our day. We left the crowds and were practically alone on the trail going from Bachalpsee to Waldspitz to Bort, enjoying in peace the breathtaking views. Then, at Bort the kids were thrilled to arrive right at the playground that they admired on our way up.
This picture is from that day, after we left Bachalpsee.
edit: As for the times , looking at the time we took the pictures :
– 12:10 – in the gondola, going up
– 12:32 – on the Cliff Walk
– 12:55 – still at First station for a toilet stop before leaving for Bachalpsee
– 13:02 – on the way to Bachalpsee
– 14:08 – first picture at Bachalpsee
– 15:18 – the time on the attached picture
– 17: 12 – almost at Bort
We were never in a hurry, stopped to take pictures, to take in the views, to let the cows pass, to… pull out a tooth…:)

Thanks for sharing your experience, Ioana!
The return to Bort via Waldspitz seems like a great idea. I will certainly do it if we are blessed with clear weather.
And that’s a great pic with the cliff walk in the background. Which month/week was this taken on?

Hi Enigma,
We were there on the 13th of August.
I saw your other question , regarding the playground at Bort. There is no entrance fee for it.
