Grindelwald First operating dates

    I am travelling to Grindelwald on the 30th of April this year 2016. I have seen conflicting dates on various websites as to when Grindelwald first gondola is operating. Is it operational from the 30th of April being the beginning of the summer season or is it later in May.

    I am also wondering when the First Cliff Walk is open.

    Hi glacier, welcome to MySwissAlps,

    The gondola will operate from April 30, so your timing is excellent! The Cliff Walk should be open too.

    Thank you for your prompt reply – I am very pleased and excited. We have some other friends from Australia who will be joining us in Grindelwald, so we will all make the trip to Grindelwald First.
