    hi,
first of all thanks for your help so far!

I’m planning a day in Thun area during July whle we will have swiss pass. Except of cruise, visit in Spiez or Thun I would like a nice hiking route which is flat or with moderate downhill but not uphill because of my father health. Also I don’t like hiking in forests/woods so open air routes are better.

I though of Beatenberg as good place for hiking. any specific route you know of? How is the Beatenberg-Interlaken route?

Maybe something from this website? http://www.beatenbergbilder.ch/home/wandern_2_e_.htm

I’ll be grateful for any help.

Hi! Beatenberg-Interlaken includes some 600 metres of height difference and steep sections, so I’m not sure if that’s the best option for your father. You can do short hikes near Beatenberg or on top of the Niederhorn. This map will provide some ideas. There are lovely routes along the shores of lake Thun too. You could hike from Spiez to Faulensee, around the Spiez hill, on the northern side of the lake through Hilterfingen and Längenschachen, and so on. This page may be a good starting point.
