We are a family of four arriving in Lauterbrunnen for three days in the second week of June and are hoping to do three day hikes. We hike in Yosemite for up to about 10 miles but only 1500 - to 2000 feet elevation gain. For the three days were planning the following two hikes:

Day one: Murren - Gimmelwald - to Stechelberg (Hike number 8003 Walking Switzerland)

Day two: Lauterbrunnen to Grutschchalp to Murren

Day three: Need suggestions (maybe otherside of valley?)
We love to hike and this is our first time in Switzerland.
We don't would like moderate hikes as we will be still somewhat jet lagged
and getting used to altitude. Thanks for any help.

Hi Ginnyf,

Did you check out the trail suggestions for the Bernese Oberland? Niederhorn - Waldegg is one I love. Wengen - Kleine Scheidegg is listed there too and is close to Lauterbrunnen on the other side of the valley. Another popular route is the Eiger Trail, at the base of the Eiger, although it might be more than moderate (haven't done it myself).
