Hi huif2000. There have been years when April was too early to hike there - I have stepped down in the snow up to my knees two years ago there about that time of the year. However, there doesn't seem to be much snow left at this trail this year. It's a fairly easy hiking path, so I think you'll be able to hike there next week. The local tourist office can provide information on the current condition of hiking trails.
