Is Hotel Belvedere, Furka pass closed for ever ?. I was trying to see trip advisor reviews and read that it is closed. If the hotel is closed, is there an impact on seeing Rhone glacier ?. Can we still walk down to visit ice grotto and are there any other options for having lunch nearby ?

    Hi bvn11,

The hotel will be closed this summer. I don’t know what happens after that. You can still visit the ice grotto. Unfortunately it’s not as impressive as it once was, due to global warming. I was there a few years ago, so I don’t know how it currently is. It will be open when the pass road is open: from June 6.
