When booking a multi-day panoramic train trip on Swiss rail, how do I know which hotel I’ll be getting? Do they have a list, is it chosen at random or what? Thanks.

I assume you mean the train trip at http://www.viator.com/tours/Z urich/8-Day-Grand-Train-Tour-of-Switzerland-from-Zurich/d577-14343P68? I contacted Viator for you, and the below hotels are frequently included in the package by their operator:

• Marktgasse Hotel in Zurich (in the historical town center at walking distance from the main train station and Lake Zurich)
• Hotel Interlaken in Interlaken (on the main street near Interlaken Ost station and the park)
• Golf Hotel René Capt in Montreux (located on Lake Geneva)

Note that these hotels are not guaranteed, but it will be a similar hotel setup in the same grade. I guess they need this flexibility to ensure that they can accommodate as many people as possible for the price as advertised.

As Rockoyster mentioned, you can alternatively book this or something similar on your own. You’ll find plenty of hotel suggestions on our website:
