    Hi,

We will be arriving at Interlaken on Sep 6 at around noon from Paris.

Our itinerary included Grindelwald First, Harder Klum, Jungfrau etc., hiking in Lauterbrunnen, using the Jungfrau Travel Pass.

We see some rain on MeteoSwiss. We haven’t bought the Jungfrau pass yet. Can we wait till the 6th and buy the pass in person at Interlaken ? If we buy a 3 day pass is it possible to tack on 1 day and convert it into a 4 day pass ? This way we can skip our trip to Lucerne on Sep 9 and spend it in Jungfrau if the weather is better on Friday.

lastly, do harder klun and grindelwald close in light rain? Its our first time in Switzerland, any help around this would be appreciated.

    Hi JD65535,

Yes, you can purchase the Jungfrau Travel Pass directly from any train station in the Jungfrau region such as Interlaken, Lauterbrunnen and Grindelwald. You can choose from a 3 or 4-day pass: http://www.myswissalps.com/jungfrautravelpass/price

According to the weather forecast, there is a 60% chance that it might rain between 6th and 9th September in Interlaken. This means there is also a 40% chance it won’t. I won’t be too worried about this. If it rains, it will probably be just a quick shower or a light drizzle. Harder Kulm and Grindelwald First remains open even in wet weather. The trip up to Jungfraujoch is a long and expensive journey so be sure to check the mountain webcam for clear skies before you buy your ticket: https://www.myswissalps.com/jungfraujoch/tickets

    Regards,

    Anna
