Hello myswissplans,

1. That's correct.

2. The train operates all year round, apart from exceptional weather circumstances. Where did you read this?

3. That depends on your interests. Bad weather activities are listed on the Interlaken page. If it's just cloudy, but not too bad, a boat trip on Lake Thun or Lake Brienz is still worth it.

Kind regards,

Annika

Thanks annika,

we are staying in a apartment near hasliberg reuti, 6086 Dorfstrasse which is near meiringen. Please advise us on attractions near meiringen, so that we can explore if time permits. Please let us know what is the cost of ticket for gondola from Meiringen to hasliberg reuti. Is it free if we have swiss pass.

Hi myswissplans,

The cable car to Reuti and further up is 50% discounted with a Swiss Travel Pass. The reduced price is CHF 4.50 for a single trip. The bus from Brienz and Brünig is free. Please see the map for all that is included in the pass.

The Golden Pass train line is free and a nice day trip. Also see their local website for suggestions. The Aare gorge and Reichenbach Fall are nearby and easy to visit. Also the Swiss open-air Museum is worth it, and free with your Swiss Travel Pass.
