Hello,

I would like to know if I can pay my bills and my tickets in euro in Switzerland.

Thanks,

HI Sofi123,

The short answer is at large shops, and at some hotels and restaurants in larger cities you can.

But many places only take Swiss Francs (national currency after all). So if you have some Euros from time you spent in other countries you can most likely spend it (to get rid of it) at some point here.

But you will want to have Swiss Francs on you for sure. Also note not as many retailers accept credit cards as other countries either. Cash is still king in Switzerland.

Read more about the Swiss Franc and other currencies in Switzerland here.

Hi Lucas -

And, if you get change, it will almost always be in Swiss Francs.
