    We are travelling from Annecy in France via Chamonix/ Mont Blanc – up through Martigny ans Sion.?
    We are considering a detour down and up the Great St. Bernards Pass- Is this worth it.
    From Sion we are travelling down the Simplon Pass and then down to the bottom od the lake and up to Ascona.
    Questions;

    • This trip is over three days- would you include St. Bernards pass
    • is there anything special we should look out for on the trip from Annecy to Sion.
    • What can you recommend with the 1 Full day we have in Ascona on lake maggiore.

    Thank you

    Hi roblan,

    I can’t answer all you questions, but as for Annecy – Sion: you can consider a trip to the Lac d’ Emosson. It is listed amongst the Wallis day trips. Be sure to travel by mountain railway rather than by bus, as described.
