We're arriving in Wengen om Saturday and staying for a week. It's our first time in Switzerland and we've been reading up on all the day trips we want to take. Jungfrau is the main attraction for us.

We want to go when weather is best even though we know it can be unpredictable. How far in advance so we need to buy our tickets to ensure we are able to get up there?

We just returned from a wonderful two week trip in Wengen. Buy your tickets the day of. Get up early, look outside, if the weather is clear in the top go to the train station and buy the tickets. the weather on top is unpredictable but the earlier you go up the better. Most inns will have a live feed of the peaks surrounding Wengen.

be prepared as their is snow out on the landings and down by the sledding area. Dress warm. Also it is very crowded with many tourists and if you plan to eat up there it is also expensive.

Thanks Arno! We've already been on that site. We've had this trip planned for almost a year. We've research every site about all the towns and villages in the area, regarding what to do, where to go, the cost, etc. 😀

Hello Harleygirl,

When you in good healt you notise nothing from the altitude.

The Jungfrau is very nice, but the price to high for European people.......

Have a nice day, Greetings Brahms
