We are planning to visit Jungfrau from Grindelwald and then do the hiking trail from Lauterbrunnen to Stechelberg, spending some time at the Trummelbach falls. Finally, we have to get back to our hotel in Grindelwald. Can all of these be done on the same day or would it be a rush? We are a family of four with boys aged 14 years and 9 years.

Yes, these can all be done in one day but you will need to move right along. Suggest you get an early start so you can fit it all in and also due to weather. Clouds often come in during the afternoon so you will want to make your Jungfrau ascent in the morning. Also, when you get to Stechelberg if you decide to get some refreshments at Stechelberg Inn (always a good idea!) be sure to check the bus schedule before you go in. They only run once an hour and you don’t want to miss one by just a few minutes. You will take the bus back to Lauterbrunnen then the train to Grindelwald.
