Hi   We are travelling in Switzerland in December and have purchased a Swiss half fare card. We would like to load this on the SBB app. Is this possible? If so could you recommend a link?  We live in Australia so should we ask for a card rather than our emailed version ?

    thank you for your advice

    Hi Cjw201159,

The app and the Swiss Half Fare Card are two separate things. All you need to do is take the Swiss Half Fare Card with you on the train. You can store it on your phone like any other PDF file, but it’s recommended to also have a printout to be sure: http://www.myswissalps.com/sw isshalffarecard/howtou se.

The SBB app is optional. A good way to check train schedules, and one of the ways to buy discounted tickets for your Swiss Half Fare Card. You can simply buy these tickets, you don’t need proof that you own the Swiss Half Fare Card. Checks will be done on the train. You can also buy tickets at the station or through various websites: http://www.myswissalps.com/tr aintickets/switzerland halffare/price.

    Enjoy your trips!

The SBB app (don’t leave home without it!) has an option to edit passenger details to indicate if they want to buy full 1/1) or half-fare (1/2) tickets.

Yes, that’s right. That way you can set it to show half fare prices by default.

Thanks. So I have set the app to default to having the half fare card already. I will then just buy tickets on the app and carry the half fare printout in paper and scanned version on my phone.

    Thanks
