Can anyone provide recommendations on which town/s to spend 3 nights in Engadin (already been to St. Moritz and loved it). We will be there in late September. A friend recommended: Pontresina, Sila-Maria and Tarasp.

After a few stays in St. Moritz and Sils Maria, we ended up staying in the other end of the valley many times over the years.
I’d suggest that you look at Scuol, Ftan(where I’ve stayed most recently, and Guarda, a long time favorite.
At Ftan, you look down on Schloss Tarasp.

PS- I recall that Alpenrose posted some photos of the area here in the Trip Reports forum. Try a search on this website for some of the place names. Also, Lower Engadine

Hi Lhollinger,
It depends a bit on what you’re looking for. A very centrally located mid-size town is Samedan. Good train connections from there. If smaller villages are of interest too, then Celerina, Bever and La Punt-Chamues-ch are worth it. Zuoz, a bit more towards the Lower Engadine, is nice too.
