    Hi ,

I am already in Switzerland and have covered Zurich , Mount Rigi, scenic boat ride from Lucerne to Vitznau โ€“ stunning beauty all around ๐Ÿ˜Š. Curently based in Rothenburg, Lucerne โ€“ plan is mount Pilatus today which we hope to cover before 3 PM . Looking for ideas for the evening afterwards . Also , we shall be changing our base to Interlaken tomorrow (15th May โ€“ 18th May ) โ€“ have a flight back from Zurich on 18th night . We are also interested in some low altitude easy trail walks for 2-3 hours in green landscape along with play / explore options for kids but not sure which one to include . So far we have planned one day for Jungfraujoch along with golden pass train to Montreux. I am accompanied with my husband and 9 year old son and have a 8 day Swiss pass with family card. Not sure if we should include Engelberg or Grindelwald or more of west and South Switzerland! Any suggestions would be helpful !

    Thanks in advance !

    Pratibha

Hello Pratibha and Welcome to MySwissAlps,

Schilthorn is free with STP. From Lauterbrunnen a very nice circuit to do is to Grรผtschalp (cable car), Mรผrren (train), Gimmelwald (cable car), Stechelberg (cable car), Lauterbrunnen (bus). From Mรผrren you can easily visit Schiltorn(donโ€™t miss The Thrill Walk at Birg) and even Allmendhubel if you have time. In between Stechelberg and Lauterbrunnen the bus stops at the Trummelbach Falls. Well worth a look. The entire circuit and side trips are free with the Swiss Travel Pass apart from the Allmendhubel Funicular (50% discount) and the Falls (modest entry fee).

If you go to Jungfraujoch go up via Wengen and down via Grindelwald(or vice versa).

Thanks a lot Steph and Rockystar! Went for Golden pass trains to Montreaux ! It was lush green everywhere with glimpses of snow capped mountains .

Based on the suggestions given planning to cover Jungfrau (today) and Schilthorn (tomorrow) .. Is there a way to experience Grindelwald greenery by walking down the mountains , may be for an hour or so , in either of these trips ?

    Hi Pratibha

Thatโ€™s fantastic you had a great trip on the Golden Pass!

You have probably already gone to both Jungfraujoch http://www.myswissalps.com/ju ngfraujoch and Schilthorn http://www.myswissalps.com/sc hilthorn, however for another time you can look up hike ideas on http://www.myswissalps.com/hi king, where you can search for hikes by difficulty and location.

If you want to post a review of your trip for other people to read you can do so on our forum: http://www.myswissalps.com/fo rum/tripreports.

    Maria.
