Hi all, we will be arriving by Train from Lugano to Fluelen. We will have luggage and are then catching the boat/ferry from Fluelen to Lucerne . How far away is the train station from the ferry. How long is the ferry ride to Lucerne from Fluelen. Also is the is an easiest or fastest route we can take from Lugano to Lucerne. Thank you

The Flüelen train station is only about 5 mins walk to the pier. The direction is signposted clearly at the station.

The ferry ride from Flüelen to Lucerne takes about 3 hours. This ferry ride forms an important highlight of the Gotthard Panorama Express and you can read the details about the section here: http://www.myswissalps.com/gotthardpanoramaexpress/gettingthere

The fastest way to travel from Lugano to Lucerne is by train. There are fast trains that leave every half an hour from Lugano and will get you to Lucerne in 2 hours. Please use the SBB timetable to check for train schedules: http://www.myswissalps.com/timetable
