Lago Maggiore Express from Locarno to Isola Bella

    We are interested in visiting the estate at Isola Bella from Locarno on a day trip. Do you recommend the Magiore Express or would we be better off taking another route to have a couple more hours?

    Hi Debbie,

    Where would you like to have a couple of more hours? What I understand from the Lago Maggiore Express website is that you can make a day trip by train and boat including 2 hours on Isola Bella. The schedule for 2018 isn’t available yet, but I would assume they will offer a similar schedule as published for 2017.

    If you book the day trip you should be fine. Keep an eye on their website for the 2018 timetables.
