Is it possible to buy a return ticket on Golden Pass train between Montreux & Interlakken without going through the leisure trip option?

Hi ddevcon and welcome to MySwissAlps!

You can take local trains from Montreux to Interlaken yes – no need to take the panoramic train (is that what you mean by leisure trip?)

You can buy tickets for that trip here and check schedules for the trains here.

    Hi, Thanks Lucas,

I thought Golden Pass Train was a special train, like Glacial express etc.

    Regards,

    Hi Deepak,

All special panoramic trains run on routes also serviced by regular trains. So it’s a choice to take a panoramic train, you’re not obliged to do so. The Golden Pass is a route with several sections and several trains, so it might seem somewhat more complicated than the others. You can read all about it on our Golden Pass page (be sure to read all tabs on that page about the route, tickets, etc.)
