Mt Pilatus: tickets and car parking?

    We are planning to go to Mt Pilatus but dont know where to park the car and buy tickets. Do I have to buy the ticket online or close to Mt Pilatus?

    You can park and buy the Pilatus ticket at Kriens.

    Look up Pilatus- Bahnen AG on Google Maps.

    There are apparently two options – parking at Kriens for the cable car up or at Alpnachstad for the cogwheel railway up to the summit. I haven’t done it yet but some people recommend doing a circuit – park at Alpnachstad and up the cogwheel railway to the summit and then down the cable car to Kriens, bus to Luzern and then train or boat back to Alpnachstad – if you have plenty of time!.

    I went past the Alpnachstad car park earlier this week and it was being resurfaced but that will hopefully be completed before too long.
