Hi Ken,
I don’t know that there are any rental shops in Murren – a very small town.
In Lauterbrunnen there is Imboden: http://www.imboden-bike.ch/de/home/index. html
and in Interlaken there is Flying Wheels: https://www.flyingwhee ls.ch/
I don’t think either are exactly what you are looking for though…It isn’t like Whistler 😉
You’ll want to email those shops and see if they know where you could find more DH style bikes. I’d expect you to have more luck in Interlaken.
Another shop to try is https://www.tomsbike.c h/ near Zurich. They may know as well of a shop closer to Murren.

Zermatt might be more to your liking / similar to Whistler – have you looked at going there to ride?

Zermatt is already in the plans…depending on weather while there.
Was kidding about Whistler, we’re spoiled here in Vancouver with the trails we have access to, and ride all the time. Looking forward to the higher altitudes, spectacular scenery that you have there..Will check out Imboden.
Thanks
Ken

Enjoy!
The trails in Switzerland are mixed hiking/biking (at least a fair few of them). About the only drawback – you’ll enjoy it for sure!
