Name on Swiss Pass not matching passport

Hi,

I bought a 4 days 2nd class Swiss Saver Pass from Swiss Tours in India. The name on it does not exactly match that on the passport - As my name in the passport is very long (14 letters in First Name, 21 letters in Surname), they have abbreviated it. Will this be a problem? I enter Switzerland on 21st May via Domodossola in Italy & Brig. My wife is travelling with me and her name appears fine.

Well, officially, the names must match. I don't think it will be a problem while traveling though. However, the passport numbers must match for sure. To be 100% sure you can best ask your supplier as they have probably had similar cases before.
