    Hello,

We are a couple arriving and departing Switzerland through Zurich Airport on 04-Jul morning and 09-Jul evening. Here’s what we have thought –
04-Jul: Arrive Zurich in the morning, take a train to Lucerne, local trips in the city, overnight at Lucerne
05-Jul: Trip to Glacier 3000, local trips in the city, overnight at Lucerne
06-Jul: Round trip Golden Pass, trip to Jungfraujoch, local trips in the city, overnight at Lucerne
07-Jul: To Zermatt, local sights, local trips in the city, overnight at Zermatt
08-Jul: Take Glacier Express to Chur, local trips in the city, overnight at Chur
09-Jul: To Zurich, local trips in the city, fly out in the evening

    1. Is the above tour a realistic one, or have we packed too much into it? Please feel free to suggest alternatives, this is just a thought of packing whatever we can in 5 days.
    2. Which ticket / pass should we buy – saver pass / card / half fare card?

    Thank you,

    Soumitra

    Hi Soumitra,

Thanks for stopping by at our forum. Most of your itinerary is doable, but I would suggest to change July 5 and 6 as those trips are too much for one day. You may want to look into combining Glacier 3000 and the Golden Pass southern section in one day, as they’re relatively close together. For example: Lucerne – Spiez via the quickest route (not Golden Pass), then by train to Zweisimmen (Golden Pass), bus to Glacier 3000 and Les Diablerets. Then continue by train to Montreux and back via Zweisimmen again (also Golden Pass). You should check the timetable too see whether it fits in a day. On the other day, you could then do just the Jungfraujoch and travel from Lucerne to Interlaken via Meiringen (Golden Pass northern section).

Since you will travel a lot, an 8-day Swiss Saver Pass would be the best pass.

    Hi Amo,

Thank you so much for the quick revert, that was really helpful!
