Hi

A big thanks to the forum for the excellent guidance. I will be travelling in late September to St Moritz from Lake Como area via Tirano . I will be staying at Celerina(St Moritz) for a day to board GEX next morning for Zermatt. Please advice which is more doable out of the following two plans:-

1) From Tirano get down at Bernina Diavolezza & reach Diavolezza by 12:50 (checked timings from SBB). Stay & enjoy for two hours & continue journey to Celerina at 15:00 hrs .Reach Celerina at 16:50. Check in the hotel & go to St Moritz for a stroll around the lake & dinner. Come back to hotel by 21:00.

2) From Tirano reach Celerina directly by 12:50. Check in the hotel. Start journey at 13:52 for Corvatsch via St Moritz. Reach Corvatsch by 15:03. Enjoy till 16:57 & take the last trip back to St Moritz. Enjoy the lake & dinner. Come back to Celerina hotel by 21:00.

Please suggest which is more doable. What are ticket prices for each of the trip with Swiss Travel pass. If both trips are not practical please suggest what else can we do in that area & make this single day in St Moritz a memorable day.

Hi Rajeshakun

Both plans seem practical according your findings. It is a matter of what you would prefer to do – visit Corvatsch or Diavolezza.

If it helps, Corvatsch is discounted 50% with your Swiss Travel Pass but you get no discount to Diavolezza.

Hi Everyone

Please suggest which rides (Gondola/cable cars/funiculars etc) are free with Swiss travel pass in St Moritz area & which one are the good one to ride. Please guide on discounted ones too.

You may want to look into the Mountain railways included’ offer: http://www.myswissalps.com/st moritz/travel.

Besides Corvatsch I recommend Muottas Muragl and Diavolezza.
