One day in Zermatt but Klein Matterhorn is closed

Hi, I’m going to have 1 full day at Zermatt. At first I think I want to do both Klein Matterhorn and Gornergrat in one day with peak2peak service but I just know that the day that I vist (1 May) that it’s not available so now I think it will be harder to do both in one day and not worth the time. Any suggestion for change of my plan? Maybe one of Klein/Gornergrat and another half day at somewhere else? Thanks for the advice.

Hi Sususasa, welcome to MySwissAlps!

Klein Matterhorn will indeed be closed, but the ride to the Gornergrat will be worth it if the weather is good: http://www.myswissalps.com/go rnergrat. Apart from that you can do a hike, e.g. along the Gornergrat route (if snow free) or the cable car to Furi and walk back down, and various other options.
