Outdoor + hiking shop Chamonix

Hi to the Forum! Thinking of buying a waterproof light weight rain jacket[suitable for walk around Mont Blanc,july] Does anyone know of a shop in the village that would have good quality light weight 100% waterproof ...Gortex quality ? would also appreciate info of reliable brands to look for....weight+packing size are very important.

There's a load in the town but you'll get the best deal at Quechua at Passy (near Saint Gervais) if you're nearby. http://www.quechua.com/

I probably ought to add Vieux Campeur as well, just down the road towards Sallanches. There's a lot more higher end gear there. I should declare an interest, I have a pro' deal with both stores.

Both will also do tax free paperwork if you're able to take advantage of that.
