Leaving next week. Going from Zurich airport to Lucern for a few days, then Wengen for 2 days then Bellagio and ending in Milan. Does a swiss pass allow me to travel from Wengen to Milan (there are 2 stops in Switzerland, so only Speitz to MIlan is an international hop). Just get a Eurail pass for the 2 countries? I’m doing the math, but it is getting very confusing. If the weather permits, we will go up to Jungfrau, so I would think a pass would make sense for a discount…? Help

Hi Paoneml and welcome to MySwissAlps!

Well without doing the math (have you used our spreadsheet here?) I would look at the Swiss Travel Pass.
It covers you to the Swiss border (so either Domodossola or Chiasso depending on the route from Spiez) so you just need a ticket from there to Milan. You will also get a 25% discount to Jungfraujoch from Wengen. So it is probably the right choice without doing the math – certainly the simplest.

A Eurail Select Pass for 2 countries could work if you are traveling by train around Italy more than just to Milan otherwise it is overkill I’d think.

Thank you for your reply–I did all the math a few different ways and I came to the same conclusion that you did. It’s good to have someone else come up with the same answer!
