Tickets Pilatus excursion - direction of travel?

I am thinking of buying Pilatus ticket from Lucerne in advance from swissrailsways website. Question is: can I choose the direction of the trip train/boat/cogwheel train(alpnachstad) vs cable car (through Kriens)

Don't know, but there is no need (other than convenience) to buy in advance.

I suspect that using the timetable , followed by ticket purchase, will allow that choice. And, I'll be surprised if the costs are different.

Tickets you'll buy through www.swissrailways.com/ en/products/ excursionpilatus are valid for any direction of travel, and any time of the day.
