Hello,

I am planning a trip from Milan to Lucerne at the end of this month.

I have not bought the tickets so far to allow me flexibility.

My question is can I buy the ticket same day from train station.

I am planning my journey from Como San Giovanni station.

Hi Alex,

You should be fine buying tickets on the day.

The SBB timetable (http://www.myswissalps.com/ti metable) will show you the fastest least scenic route via the Gotthard Base Tunnel.

If you want to follow the Gotthard Panorama route (but on regular trains) include Via Göschenen in your search.
