Return ticket from Schilthorn to Birg

We would like to hike from Birg to Murren but want to eat brunch at Piz Gloria after taking Schilthornbahn up - is there a ticket one can buy from top to Birg?

Sure, no problem. You can buy an all in one ticket from the valley up to Schilthorn and down to Birg.

Thanks for the help Would you know the cost of from Murren to Piz Gloria and return to Birg to enable a hike back to Murren I cannot seem to find the info anyplace.

Sorry, I don't know. It's a bit less than a full return ticket I suppose, but I don't have details.

Looks like about a 1000 meter descent in a short distance over roundabout trails.

Thanks for the link---The path down from Birg is doable as my family 1 teen 1 twenty and a 40+ man did this without hiking boots -poles etc some time ago- and enjoyed every minute of it

--but this time we will have these things with us--just hoping for good weather

I always find boots and hiking staffs make the going easier, even when they are not needed.
