Hi there, Visiting Switzerland 22-28 June 2018, staying Bern 23 to 26th. Planning day trip Bern-Luzern on one of the days to do the Lake/Rigi Cog Rail and gondola circuit. Can anyone tell me the departure from and arrival back times in Luzern so I can plan the Bern-Luzern and return rail timings? Thank you John

Hi JohnW and Welcome to MySwissAlps,

The Swiss Train Timetable (http://www.myswissalps.com/ti metable) will give you all the times. If you haven’t used it before it will pay to read the instructions on that page before delving into the timetable.

For Rigi you wan’t Luzern Bahnhofquai to Rigi Kulm via Vitznau on the way there and Rigi Kulm to Luzern Bahnhofquai via Rigi Kaltbad and Weggis on the way back. Bern to Luzern and return is easy to find.

The entire round trip, Bern to Bern, is “free” with the Swiss Travel Pass (http://www.myswissalps.com/sw isstravelpass) if you happen to have one of those.
