Hello Ken and welcome to MySwissAlps,
The train between Luzern and Interlaken is the Luzern-Interlaken Express. It is a commuter train that runs hourly. It just happens to also be one of the legs on the Golden Pass Line.
Between Zurich and Luzern is just regular trains. You can follow a longer more scenic route by going via Arth-Godlhau.
There are some trains that go direct from the airport to Luzern and avoid a change at Zurich.
I’m guessing you are already familiar with the Swiss Train Timetable (http://www.myswissalps.com/ti metable)?

Thanks, the Arth-Godlhau sounds good.
I am having some trouble using the Swiss timetable. Sometimes when I use the calendar field to pick the date of travel as June 19, it jumps to June 18 instead. If the reason is that there are no trains on the 19th, how am I to know that?

Hi Ken,
I don’t have the same issue with the timetable – have you tried a different browser? Trains are certainly running every day.

I think the jumpy date thing is some weird time zone bug. Seen it reported before.

Have you tried picking June 20 and letting it jump back to June 19?

Hey, that works. Good suggestion.
