    Hello,

    These are the train routes that I will be taking in two weeks. I know some are scenic and some aren’t. Can someone please let me know which side of the train I should sit?

    – Zurich Flughafen – Luzern – Brienz

    – Brienz – Interlaken Ost – Thun

    – Thun – Visp – Zermatt

    – Zermatt -Visp – Spiez – Wimmis

    – Wimmis – Bern – Olten – Luzern

    – Wimmis – Spiez – Interlaken Ost – Luzern

    – Luzern – Zurich Flughafen

    Thank you!

    Hi chachacha,

    • Luzern-Brienz-Interlaken Ost is part of the Golden Pass route. Preferred sides are mentioned at our Golden Pass page;
    • Thun-Visp: left side, for views of Lake Thun. Visp-Zermatt is part of the Glacier Express route. Preferred sides for this leg are mentioned here;
    • I don’t have strong preferences for your remaining routes. Views are often fine from both sides, and trains regularly switch valley sides.
