Hello,

I believe that the Stechelberg cable to Schilthorn is free with the Swiss Travel Pass, but I wondered about the “fast pass”? Is this recommended in order to shorten the queue? Is this included with the Swiss Travel Pass ?

Hi Tbone1311,

That’s correct, access to Schilthorn is free with a Swiss Travel Pass in 2019 (http://www.myswissalps.com/sw isstravelpass/validity, http://www.myswissalps.com/fo rum/topic/overview-of-the-swiss-travel-system-passes-in-2020). You can buy a boarding pass for CHF 5 to skip queues, but that’s not included in the Swiss Travel Pass: http://www.myswissalps.com/sc hilthorn/tickets.

Hi Annika,

Just would like to check at which station we can purchase the 5 CHF boarding pass. Plan to do the Schilthorn route from Stechelberg and then descend via Grütschalp.

When you buy the boarding pass you can select either Stechelberg, Mürren or Birg as your guaranteed departure time kick off point. See schilthorn.ch/en/Summe r/Guaranteed_Departure _Time.
